It's also useful for the fact that since it's running on the docker container, even if your client device does not have it installed, it's fine. So this is what this docker app is used for.
You can't expect your favourite youtube videos will always be there (some of the ones i liked just one day dissapear ). There is also a similar app for windows 11 desktop clients, but, if you got a nas, and you can do docker containers, why not have this? Especially if you are like me and prefer to backup youtube videos offline for archival. It uses the popular yt-dlp to do so (although it has the option to select an alternative if u really want to. YoutubeDL-Material is basically a front end web UI for downloading youtube videos.
